[email protected] My Life Hi Everybody! After high school I attended Texas Wesleyan College for a year. I married Jim Roberson (a Handley ex) in May 1963. We live in Meadowbrook not far from where I grew up. (Think Arden Place across from Meadowbrook Jr. High.) The only "child" we have is Lucy, our black cat. We enjoy trips to Bossier City, fishing, and just hanging out. I worked at Lone Star Gas Company for over 31 years in the Credit Dept. and was laid off in 1995 due to downsizing. I later went to work at an aerospace company, which became Pratt & Whitney, as Administrative Assistant to the Comptroller. After 3 years, I was laid off again due to downsizing. In July 2000, I went to work at Community Tissue Services (the bone and tissue bank for this area) as Administrative Assistant to the Director. I retired from there in July 2010. [email protected] My Life Hello everyone! A bit of news about me. Hank Hoffman and I married in June, 1963. We joined an archery group & met every week an indoor range and went to archery tournaments. We also went archery hunting. When our 1st son was born in August, 1967 we gave up archery. Hank started his own cabinet business that same month. The business is still going strong after 45 years. Our second son was born in 1970. They both run the shop. We were blessed with 5 grandchildren and they are the light of my life. Hank & I got to travel to Switzerland, Spain, Germany, England & France. We loved seeing Europe. Hank loved hunting & fishing and I loved reading, and Bible Study. We both served at our Church. I retired from UTA in 2002. Hank went to the Lord on November 13, 2004. I miss him everyday and always will. We were married 41 years. I'm looking so forward to our 50th reunion in October. We are going to have so much fun. See you there! Elizabeth (Pope) Gould

Our granddaughters ages are 19 and 13. They all live in the area. I love to take them to church, the park, out to lunch, to the water park, and to Six Flags Over Texas to name a few. [email protected] My Life Following graduation from EHHS, I really wanted to work in an office environment. I applied for work at banks in downtown Ft Worth. I was very fortunate to be called by Continental National Bank for a position In the auditing department. Being a member of The National Honor Society was pivotal in being hired into the banking system. It was exactly what I wanted. The three years I spent with CNB directed me on a road of employment in banking that would continue a decade. During these years I married Tal Anderson, the man I met before graduating from EHHS. After he graduated from TCU, he began a thirty year career as a U. S. Army Officer. We moved out West to his first Army assignment in Albuquerque, NM, then to Europe, to Washington, D. C. multiple times, and returned to Texas for an assignment at Fort Hood. We also started our family during those initial moves. This year, we celebrated 48 years of marriage. We have a son and daughter and four beautiful grandchildren, the oldest having just enrolled at Virginia Tech. Upon our reassignment to Texas in 1978, I decided to get a real estate license after being encouraged by another Army wife. Currently, I have completed 33 years in residential real estate sales. I've worked with both military and civilian families as they moved in and out of Texas and Virginia. We have lived in Harker Heights, Texas, a bedroom community to Fort Hood, the world's largest Army installation, for the last 28 years. My husband Tal retired from the Army in 1993 and from Killeen Independent School District in June 2012, culminating a 20 year span as the Executive Officer to the Superintendent. After this second retirement, we relaxed by taking a 30 day trip to see the Western United States. We will continue to call Texas our home in retirement. We love football, the Cowboys, the University of Texas (where our son and daughter-in-law graduated), TCU, Corvettes, traveling, cruising, and being Grandparents. My Life As of September 8th I will have been married to Tommy Powers for 50 years. Our first 12 years were spent in Arlington. Then a job opportunity for Tommy took us to Austin for 3 years - then to Duncanville, Cedar Hill, and Midlothian - which I believe will be our final "resting" place. We have been blessed with 2 children - a son and a daughter - and 5 precious grandchildren - all living within 2 miles of us. We love to travel - particularly cruising. We have had some wonderful trips and are looking forward to a 16-day transatlantic cruise November 2nd. Tommy is semi-retired from home building. I have worked for a commercial real estate company in Dallas for 28 years as office manager. Since I can pretty much take off when I want to and set my own hours, I have not yet decided that I want to retire. I have been so blessed with good health and thus so grateful that I can still work. Looking forward to reunion. A big thanks to those who have worked so hard to put it all together. Danny ChaneyEmail

[email protected] My Life Hello, Class of 1962 Highlanders! What a ride! I married Lynn Spain (class of '60) in August of 1964 after his graduation from Texas Tech. Some of my wedding attendants that you might know were Carol Warkentin, Linda Lawrence, Rebecca Willis, Carol Spina, and Cheryl Spain. We moved to Houston (Pasadena) where I graduated from the University of Houston. I tried my hand at teaching - it is definitely a gift with which I was not blessed - and went to work for Delta Air Lines reservations. I was with Delta for 11 years full-time and then part-time after the birth of our son and daughter in 1972 and 1974. We moved to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil from 1978-1981. Then on to another "foreign assignment" in Painesville, Ohio (Cleveland). In 1984 we moved to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and back to the Houston area (Humble) in 1986 where our kids graduated from high school. I returned to the airline industry working for Continental Airlines reservations from 1990 until both Lynn and I retired in 2003. Our daughter AND son had moved to the metroplex and my Mom was still here, so it was a no-brainer! We've been back here since 2003-2006 in Arlington and 2006-present in Grapevine. Our daughter, her husband and 3 boys live behind us - just through the gate - and our son, his wife, 2 sons and daughter live across the street from her. You might call it a compound! Life is good!! I just wish my grandchildren had the opportunity to experience the "good ole days!" Mary Alice (King) Ward & M.L. Ward

[email protected] My Life I started school at Tandy Elementary and then went to Meadowbrook Junior High. After my first semester at EHHS, my dad was transferred to Houston where I attended and graduated from Bellaire High School. I then attended Texas Tech where I majored in Interior Design. I married my last semester at Tech and then we moved back to Houston where I worked in the Desing business for the next 20 years. I divorced and then re-married to Wayne Philpott in 1985. He was in the Group Travel business for the next 25 years and we were so lucky to get to travel and see the world. In 1999 we started going to Ajijic, Mexico for 6 months each year to escape the Houston heat. Ajijic is the largest ex-pat community in the world and it has the second best weather in the world. It is south of Guadalajara, Mexico. We go in June and return to Houston in December. 6 years ago we adopted 2 little Mexican girls to be our granddaughters and we have a great time with them. LIFE IS GOOD. Wendell Wade Walker
